Malia Gallegos Therapy Trauma Psychotherapy Counseling Telehealth Eagle Rock, Highland Park Los Angeles California.

People see you as successful, creative, intelligent. You are, but you don’t feel that way. You’re noticed that you can’t get past getting triggered by small things. You don’t feel safe on the inside and you don’t trust your body anymore. You are more sensitive than you have ever been, you have ruminating thoughts, fears and concerns and you get panicky, upset, and worried. You have bad dreams and sometimes you feel like are having flashbacks or unwanted memories. You sometimes feel spacey, disconnected, and confused. You are having trouble with too much or too little food or sleep, and some days you can’t face even the littlest things. You remember when you used to feel calm and at peace in your body, but it’s hard to believe you will feel that way again. You don’t really know what happened or how you got this way.  You miss feeling normal, and functional, and at peace.

I am a trauma therapist that works with the body and I can help you recover from the trauma reactions, PTSD symptoms and the remnants of childhood trauma. We will make sense of the beliefs and behaviors that drive you and can sometimes keep you stuck. I will help you grow insight, gain skills, get centered in your body, be kind to yourself, and live the life you choose. If your trauma comes from the neglect or abuse of early relationships, then the it is best addressed in relationship, but that isn’t easy to do. Trust must be earned. In my work, I am committed to providing a model for reliable, consistent, grounded, focused, accepting, and open hearted space from which stable relationships grow.
